What does txd stand for?
You mean other than truth, justice and the american way? Well, it harkens back to another lifetime, when I was
an electronics technician for a networking company and networking was in it's infancy. We all got accounts on
one of the VAXen at work, and the IT guys wanted three letter logins, generally your initials. There was already
a person there with the same initials as mine, so they added a variable (x) for my middle initial. I thought it
was kinda cool, as (txd) is the signal name for transmit data and I was one of the senior techs there, and as
such, was always being asked questions. That was also the time when I began having a "network presence" and was
known as txd. It stuck. Years later, in my present life, I tried to let the moniker die, but was met with such
outrage that I decided to keep it alive. ;{>
